If event logging itself fails, the request's outcome is unaffected — the failure is swallowed rather than surfaced as an error

Recording a security event is treated as a nice-to-have, not something that can break the actual request.

If logging itself ever fails, the visitor's request still goes through, or stays blocked, exactly as it should — the logging failure is quietly ignored rather than causing a bigger problem.
