Enable acceleration only once ownership, SSL, origin, and DNS are verified
Onboarding can look complete while the domain still serves nothing. Activation is the deliberate last step: it deploys the verified configuration so WebOptiva starts handling real traffic for the hostname.
1. Read the hero summary#
The domain hero carries a summary line labelled Domain summary with Status, Routing (reading Live or Draft), Version, Deploy (for example DRAFT), Last event, and Updated. While anything is outstanding, a Deployment required banner sits above the content with a Deploy changes button.
2. Deploy the configuration#
Press Deploy in the domain hero, or Deploy changes in the banner. Deployment copies your draft into the live configuration inside a single transaction, so visitors never see a configuration that is half old and half new. If a deploy fails, the previous live configuration stays untouched and the banner switches to Deployment failed with a Retry deployment button.
3. Watch the domain flip to ACTIVE#
On success the status badge changes from PENDING to ACTIVE, Routing reads Live, the Version cell increments, and the final workflow step Website live reads Completed. From that moment WebOptiva handles live traffic for the hostname, and the acceleration path is open.
4. Preview before you commit DNS#
If you would rather not cut production over first, the Compatibility preview panel in Overview → Summary generates a tokenized /accelerate/{token}.draft/ URL that replays deployed behavior — HTML and CSS rewriting included — against your origin. Press Enable preview, optionally override Origin URL, then open Open preview. Details in Preview before going live.
What deploy does not do#
Deploying promotes configuration; it does not create DNS records or certificates for you, and it does not point your hostname at WebOptiva by itself. When Deploy stays unavailable, its tooltip tells you what is missing — complete domain verification, SSL, edge preparation, and traffic DNS — or that everything is already deployed and you need to save a change first.
